I’m Joy Shantz, a professional event planner with more than a decade of experience producing events for nonprofit organizations, corporate teams and personal celebrations across the Lansing area and beyond.

Whether I’m coordinating large-scale community events like Michigan State University’s annual Global Festival or heartfelt gatherings like a watercolor wedding shower, I bring the same creativity, attention to detail and thoughtful organization to the table.

At its heart, event planning is about bringing people together with purpose. The name Front Porch is inspired by my own 100-year-old home, where long afternoons are often spent connecting with friends and neighbors on our front porch. It’s a space that is warm, welcoming, and full of possibilities.
